Woman to Woman Mentoring

So often, we think it would be great to be able to talk over a situation with another woman that is there to listen to us. A woman that will be encouraging and pray with us to find God’s way of dealing with what we are facing. To have a relationship like that in our lives is a treasure – whether you are the woman receiving, or you are the woman giving.

Now, it would be great if that kind of relationship just naturally developed in our lives. Sometimes it does, but not always. And that is where Woman to Woman Ministry can help.

We seek to bring women together in mentoring relationships. We use information that the women provide us and with prayer we pair women together. We ask the two women to share with one another what they are wanting to get out of the relationship and then take six months to intentionally living that out.

We have found the mentoring pairs are very diverse in their purposes and how they spend their time together – as unique as the women involved.

If you are interested in a mentoring relationship and would like some help, come to our next All About Mentoring Meeting. This will give you all the information that you need to decide if this is the ministry to help you establish a mentoring relationship with another woman.

Watch the Visitor and Sunday Bulletin for the announcement of our next All About Mentoring Meeting.

Women’s Study Groups

Studying the Bible with other women can add so much to your life. You have accountability, a place to ask questions and share answers that you have found. A study group can provide you a place to pray with other women and know you are not alone.

Here are our study groups:

Tuesday

Tuesday Afternoon Bible Study - Led by Sue Welty

We will be studying Isaiah, known as the crown jewel of Old Testament Prophets. As we discover truths about Jesus, we will learn to know Him and trust Him more. We would love to have you join us. For more information, contact Sue Welty, 343-3632

Bible Study and Prayer Group – Led by Loraine Rigdon

Having a tough time fitting a bible study into your schedule? How about Sunday School?! We focus on learning from God’s Word and discuss how we can apply it to our daily lives. We are currently studying in the book of Romans. This amazing letter delivers great insight into God’s plan for our salvation and growth as we live for Him by faith. This is a class that you can start anytime during the term.

Fall Retreat 2009– Recapturing Our Astonishment

Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24

Duty Calls? Don’t answer!! Join us as we seek a life of delighting in Christ.  Our guest speaker, Lael Arrington, will be sharing how redeeming our imaginations for God and His Kingdom will leave the life of duty behind. www.laelarrington.com

So if you have fallen into a walk of duty for God and lost the delight of knowing Him…
Or maybe the passion of delighting Him is something that has always eluded you….

Then reserve this weekend and hear Lael share her story of how God ignited her passion and captured her astonishment over Him.

We meet at Bethel on Friday at 6pm and caravan out to Camp Summit, returning Saturday at 4pm. Registration will begin on Sept 20 and ticket prices will be $30.00.
