Voyagers Senior Adult Ministry
We exist as a team of people, organized to serve others spiritually and to provide then with caring hands-on assistance. Our fellowship is designed to appeal to a diversity of interests, encouraging us to grow closer to each other and to Christ.
The Care Team is the heartbeat of this new ministry, specially trained to visit people in the church. Our goals are to become better acquainted with those who attend Bethel, identify needs, see what people like about Bethel, and find out what we can do to improve.
Special training and other requirements such as Bethel membership are required for the Care Team. Please see the Application for the other requirements. If you are interested in serving on this team, please complete the Application (download Word file attached below) and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you prefer, you may print out the Application (print PDF file attached below) and submit it in an envelope to the Church office. We will review your application and respond with further information. Please allow a week for the completion of this process. If you are already a Care Team member and need to fill out your Voyager Care Team Assignment sheet, scroll to the bottom of this site, click on Voyager Care Team Assignment, SAVE it to your desktop, fill it out and ATTACH it to an email and send to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Service Teams are assembled to help fulfill needs as revealed by the Care Team. They are hands-on laborers providing handy-man repairs, lawn care, meals, house cleaning, transportation, car repair guidance, and other services.
The Fellowship Teams plan and execute activities to promote friendship, fun and growth. Fellowship is held monthly. Some months we meet from 10:00-Noon for a brunch or lunch. During alternating months, Voyagers is held at night. Well organized programs and fellowship with friends always make these events memorable. Check the Visitor or call the church office (342-3166) for more details. In addition to monthly events, some special trips are planned throughout the year.
Isn’t it exciting to hear how God works in people’s lives when we tell others about Jesus and what He can do for them? Why not set aside Thursday, April 18th for a great morning of fellowship with the Voyagers! Jim and Joan Vancil will relay their experience as missionaries to a very remote area of Colombia, South America. Another thing you won’t want to miss is the homemade soup luncheon, complete with homemade pie. The cost for this event is a $5 donation. Please sign up at the Information Desk. Contact Ellen Rodeffer at 462-2003 for more information.
