Team Mexico 2011

OUR MISSION

This is our 5th team trip to Mexico; all have had an emphasis on Children's ministry. We have also done service projects at a local school and with Dunamis Baptist Church. We team up with a local church in Irapauto and our supported missionary to that area, Jami Strandberg. We have 18 team members on this year’s team. Once again, we will focus on street evangelism and children's ministry. We will also focus on partnering with Dunamis Church on a church plant project in Abasolo, Mexico. Irapauto has a population around 750,000 and Abasolo 50,000. Both cities are located in the State of Guanajuato which is in Central Mexico.

PREPARATION

We are currently preparing with song, drama and puppet rehearsals. We are also preparing to do our ministry project at local nursing homes and other local churches.

PRAYER REQUESTS

We request your prayers for safety, team unity and open hearts to hear our message of the love that God has for them. Also, that the people in Mexico will see Jesus through everything we do. Only 6% of the population in Mexico says they are Evangelical Christian, some cities less than 1%. Mexico is where we feel God has called us and we want to share his love, grace and mercy to all we come in contact with.
