Join us in combatting hunger by being a part of Bethel's 2011 Generosity Project

01JAN UPDATE: WE ARE IN NEED OF MORE VOLUNTEERS FOR THE FOOD PACKING EVENT ON SA, 14JAN!! We currently have just 180 signed-up for the first shift (8-10am), and we have 255 signed-up for the second shift (10am-12pm). 

While we are grateful for your willingness to serve, we still need more FIRST SHIFT help! So if even 20 or 30 of you could move from the later to the earlier shift (or work both shifts), it would be greatly appreciated!! LET US KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP US OUT IN THIS WAY. Thanks!

We also ask that you continue to lift the Helwigs and their ministry up in prayer. They are near the rash of recent violence against Christians in Nigeria, so please pray God's hand of protection would be over them.

DRUMROLL, PLEASE: The unofficial count from the 1st IMPACT HUNGER collection this morning (SU, 18DEC) was over $27,000!! That's $7000 above our goal - do you suppose we can hit $30,000?  By God's grace we might go 50% above our goal.  We will take another offering January 8th. 

Please continue to pray...and don't forget to sign up for the FOOD PACKING event on SA, 14JAN (choose the 8-10a or 10a-12p shift...or work both!) We need 376 people working that day to make this happen.

We are partnering with Art & Dorothy Helwig, our missionaries in Nigeria, to provide food to the thousands of hungry people they reach via their ministry. Our goal is to raise $20,000, which will fill 1/3 of a semi-trailer container with 80,136 meals.

Throughout November and December, we will be focusing on ways we can all

LEARN. CHANGE. DO. GIVE.

Volunteers may sign-up Sun, December 4th & 11th (or you  may email us at admin@mybethel.com).

Collections will be taken on Sun., December 18th & January 8th.

A meal packing event will be held Sat., January 14th. There will be two shifts: 10a-12pm and 12-2pm. Sign up for one...or both! NOTE: All ages are welcome, however, younger children will require their parent's assistance.

Please join us in praying for Art & Dorothy's ministry, and how each of us can contribute to the relief of hunger in Nigeria this Holiday season.
