Relaunch of On-Campus Services

You may also call the church office to register at 309.342.3166.
Services will be:
8:00am (for our more senior congregants and those with health concerns)
Thank you for making our first Sunday back in our church building such a blessing.  Your kindness, love for one another and grateful hearts are a blessing to us all.  It brought tears to my eyes to sing songs of worship to our great God with you.  We are going through a slow incremental re-launch process so that we can re-open safely, carefully and responsibly.  Our staff and elders learned a few things last week which will help us be better prepared for next Sunday.  Please feel free to register for one of our three identical worship services for this coming Sunday at 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00 AM.  These services will also be livestreamed for those joining us online.

With more restrictions being lifted in our community, and our demonstrated ability to appropriately space people seated throughout our church sanctuary, protective face masks are recommended but not required.  Thank you for respecting the safety and concerns of others by maintaining social distancing, avoiding handshakes and following the guidelines put in place.  Our plans and procedures will continue to adjust as we adapt and overcome obstacles.  But even in the face of all kinds of challenges God’s word reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3:5,6).  Below are some highlights of what you can expect:
  • Shorter services (about 45 minutes) with prayer, music, and a message,
  • No coffee or any refreshments will be available.
  • No children's ministry or other Sunday School classes offered
  • Protective masks are recommended but not required
  • Maintaining social distancing except for immediate household members
  • A greeting team will welcome people, hold doors, and direct people to their seats without shaking hands.
  • A cleaning team will  disinfect doors, handles, pews, and other high contact surfaces between services
  • Sections of pews to direct people to sit in households 6 ft part  on the open pews and in areas without green tape
  • The earliest service for our more senior members or those with health concerns
Our Elders and staff believe these are the necessary safety guidelines we must implement as we begin to open the building safely and effectively.
